Curriculum
Our Goals
- To fulfill God's plan by using dance as a form of ministry
- To provide the best dance education possible
- To promote dance as a professional art form in our community
- To expand our horizons by participating in dance and cultural events outside of our community
Our Dance Curriculum
- Classical Ballet
Ballet cousrses include pre-ballet to advanced ballet for children and adults. Ballet is the fundamental discpline of dance. Improve flexibily and strength while acquiring discipline and grace.
- Pointe
A class for the Intermediate and Advanced ballet student which focuses on continued development of the dancers feet. Enrollment is by permission only.
- Jazz
A wonderful contempory and stylish form of dance. Shares many of the fundamentals of ballet and is a wonderful asset to the ballet dancer. The jazz dancer acquires fluidity and suspension.
- Tap
Focuses on percussive rythm and precise patterns of sound. A great aerobic workout and an energizing form of dance. Builds muscle control.
- Exercise/Family Fitness
A great way to get fit! Includes cardio, stretch, and strengthen. Classes are accompanied by contempory and traditional Christian music.
- Little Steps for Toddlers
A creative movement class for children age 2 - 3 in a "Mommy and Me" format. Children will use movement to explore pre-school concepts such as colors, shapes, and numbers. Children will learn positive social skills as well as improve large locomotor skills in a fun creative atmosphere.
- Modern Worship Dance
Am embodied form of prayer that combines the voacabulary of jazz and ballet. Provides a low impact workout. A perfect class for the beginner dancer!
