Amy C. York Owner/Artistic Director

Amy (Fulks) York is a native of Barboursville, WV, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) degree from The University of Akron, which was recently named one of the most sought after dance programs in the nation by Dance Spirit Magazine. While at the University of Akron, Mrs. York  studied dance technique, performance, and choreography with an emphasis on dance education.  Mrs. York is privileged to have studied under the instruction of Marc Ozanich and Mary Anne Black, both formerly of the Ohio Ballet; Cydney Spohn, formerly of the Pennsylvania Ballet; Kaye Davis, a leader in dance education in Ohio; and Lana Heylock, formerly of New York City's Muller and The Works.  Mrs. York is a former professional modern dancer with Living Fountain Dance Company (Canton, OH) and is an expert in teaching the wonderful art of dance.

 

Amy is known for her community outreach efforts and in turn teaches her students to use their gifts and talents to serve others faithfully. She is the founder of Miracles in Motion Youth Dance Company and True Impact. Mrs. York continues her dance training in an effort to provide the best dance education and strives to maintain professionalism, thus creating an outlet for local students to receive a professional dance education and excellent performance opportunities.
